Awards

B&F ICT Innovation Awards
Each year, an independent jury decides who will return home with the crystal Awards. Projects must satisfy the following criteria: be innovative, be used in the financial sector, and be proven to be cost-effective.

B&F Banker of the Year Awards
In 2011, the Banker of the Year Awards will be presented for the first time for the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg during the Grand Gala on 2nd December 2011 in Brussels.

Academic session
Ones in two years, the Grand Gala, and Academic session, is held at the prestigious ‘le Plaza Theatre’ in Brussels.
The Grand Gala is a unique concept that was first introduced in 2001. Entertainment, dancing, music and networking in a luxurious ambiance for the ladies as well as the gentlemen.

Risk@360degrees

More than 100 delegates attended the B&F ‘Risk@360degrees’ Congress held on 29th March at the Hotel Bloom in Brussels. The day was virtually divided into two: the morning programme was dedicated to the theme of Risk Culture, and included contributions from Michael van Woerden, Nicolas Vanlerberghe, Inès Wouters and Stefan Duchateau. The afternoon programme reviewed the impact of Basel 3 and Solvency 2, with contributions from Nadine Spruyt (Febelfin) and Sabine Wuiame (Assuralia).

The next Banking & Finance Congress in the ‘Risk@360degrees’ series, dedicated to the theme of ‘Effective Supervision’, will be held (in Dutch) at Nyenrode in the Netherlands (Breukelen) on Tuesday, 6th November.
